tank is clearseal 48 12 15
eheim jager 150w heater
Eheim 2213 external filter
also geting airpump and bubble wall for back of tank

will be transferring some stock from our rekord 70.
how does this sound for stocking ? (not confirmed yet)

2 pearl gourami
2 bristle nose plecs
6 guppy
6 bronze cory
6 peppered cory
14 neon tetra
1 Siamese Algae Eater

thats 140cm of fish in 140 litre tank so think it should be ok :dunno:

will then use rekord 70 for
1 betta
6 panda corys
6 amano shrimp
not sure if anything else cause of betta as had to remove him from community before. would like to add something though.

if all go well 30l betta/shrimp tank will then be used as a fry/hospital tank

I am pretty sure you could do more fish that that in a 4 foot tank since most of what is on your list are low waste producers. Looking good. Plant's? Decoration? What do you have in store? I can't wait to see the finished product.

thanks

i would like to add 2 blue rams but didnt know if i could. have read conflicting reports on there suitability for a peaceful community. think if i add 2 males it might be ok so they cant breed. cause when they breed they get agressive and the corys might get bothered. what do you think?

tank wont be planted. i want to keep it as low maintenance as possible. ill add some caves. lfs are geting me some wood and fake plants. ill add more pics when its done.

Rams and cories ocupy the same area in the water column and even if you get two males I think they would defend their territories against the cories as well as eachother. However rams are mostly all show and no fight and shouln't do any dammage. Plus, I think there is plenty of room for both the cories and the rams but, I would try and get a pair rather than two males. Just be aware, blue rames are delicate fish, the need a stable temp, soft water, and low nirtates to do really well. If your water is on the harder side then I would go with a pair of bolivian rams - they are generally hardier. Keep us updated as you add fish and plants. :good:

Could do with a few tall real plants for the background, like hornwart and elodea, as they grow in low light conditions and theres no need for any co2 or ferts (but you can do) for better growth. :good:
