Nerite Snail + Figure 8 Puffer Possible?

its well know taht puffers feast on snails, but ive heard alot of different opinions online about nerite snails. Some say they are toast but many people give anecdotal evidence of nerites being "puffer proof" in reference to figure eights, unless the snail gets flipped over. Aparently the shape, size, and shell toughness of the nerite makes its very difficult for the figure eights to eat. This would be great seeing as that i could keep a puffer and let the nerites go to town on the algae, but i am scepticle.

It's worth a shot. I have nerites in tanks with irrubesco puffers and they seem fine.

The first time I tried this I had to take the nerites out after about 1/2 an hour because they were constantly harassed, the foot of the snail protrudes beyond the shell so the F8's kept picking at it.
I tried it again not too long ago and put one in after lights out but when I woke in the morning it was being harassed again so I had to remove it.
