I've got an Issue, Ive found some white spots on TWO of my tetras, could this be white spot?, They are only on the Fins, One tetra has only about 1 spot while the other has about 10.

The water Temp Is 25,

The Water Stats are good whith the ammonia levels being a just little over normal,

What should i do?

I also have 5corydoras which have not been affected at all.

Could it be a fungal Infection?

Please Help!

How many gallons or lites is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
How long has the tank been set up.

Whitespot looks like the fish has been sprinked in salt. or the spots will be the size of a grain of salt.

Raise temp to 30.
Increase aeration as the meds and high temp reduce 02 in the water.
Remove black carbon from filter if you use it.
Make sure you can you the full dose in the instuctions. As with sensitive fish like neon tetra's you have to half dose the med.

How many gallons or lites is the tank.-210L
How many fish and which type.-5Corydoras 6Neons (i had one betta until yesterday)
How long has the tank been set up.-Approx one month.

Volume and Frequency of water changes: One month old Tank, One so far about 10%

Ok.
I would preform a water change before you add the med.
Good Luck.

I added the med, hopefully it will be OK with the Fungal Med, Everything has gone blue

Have you used a whitespot med or fungal med.

youll risk killing the cories at 30oC species dependent, and the neons wont appreciate it either! letting them ride it out a little longer is probably better then upping the temperature, as it messes with the fishes metabolism

The tank only went up too about 27, then i turned it down again,

My tank is now free off white spot!

Best treating for whitespot another week once spots have gone.
