Need some info about pozzani filters

I’ve had nitrate problems in my tap water for a long time with my tap water having about 40ppm of nitrates. I was wondering if someone could give me insight on how you would install a pozzani filter and use it as I don’t want to buy one only to find out that it’s basically useless.

Apparently you can use saddle valves but they seem to be prone to leaks from what I’ve heard or are just risky. I have 0 knowledge on plumbing and water works and I was wondering if there was a way to install it without a saddle valve or welding pipe parts together.

I’d also appreciate information on people’s experience with pozzani filters such as what to expect, it’s performance and whether it’s worth it.

So when I got into the hobby, probably 12 or 13 years ago now, the things that we took notice of when setting up a tank were ammonia and nitrite - it was a given that they had to be at zero before you put fish in the tank. I did a fishless cycle because I wanted to give my fish the best...

Its a single canister. You can buy it from their website with a hosepipe adaptor (hozelock style) so I just used mine from the garden tap.
