Need Help Choosing Fish?

Hi,
I am stocking my my 12 gallon and need help. Iw ant something interesting not to aggressive and not a betta. Anyhow it can't be to expensive £10 range. An y nice plecs,cichlids basically anyhting. Alls ugestions welcoem.

hmm, you may be a bit stuck when it comes to plecs, most are too big and produce alot of waste. the cichlid that came to my mind was tagnayikan shell-dwellers, although somebody may have to back me up on that one, not sure whether they need 20 gallon. Well, i've got a 12 uk gallon and its stocked with a shoal of copper harlequins and corydoras trilineatus, so a little community may be the way to go?

Pit bull plec(LDA25), grows to 2" but will still produce alof of waste for its size. Our LFS sells them for about £5. http/www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/speci...?species_id=236

it's not a plec, but oto's would fit well in a tank that size. male endlers, and maybe a dwarf gourami (which is a very cool fish) are my other suggestions.

Thanks guys. Funnily enough i have nearly all those fish in my 25 gallon, thanks anyway. I will probably go for shell dwelllers as was looking at them in lfs earlier. Any ideas keep 'em coming.
