Hi Peeps,

Fran our resident duck (the pond at work) laid nine eggs last month, a few days ago the eggs hatched and we now have ducklings.

Sadly, we have lost four ducklings so far, they have been found dead in Frans nest, it looks like she has sat on them :cry:

but there one thing i am confuse that u said had 9 eggs hatch and 4 have died and can see 6 healthy duckling playing in the pics as that make 10 duckling, unless there 5 baby duckling left as confuse here

Sorry I forgot to mention, the picture was taken before (Monday) all four died, we lost three over the weekend just gone, one on Monday (after I had taken the photo's) and one today, which no brings the number down to 4.

Its so sad, I hope the 4 remaining survive.

Nature has decided to show itself at its worst.....
