hi all
I noticed several patches of 5 solid white eggs about a millimetre each scattered around my 3 gallon shrimp tank. The eggs are on the aquarium glass, back wall and some plants. There is also a small otto in the tank but only one though as the other died about 3 weeks ago, and many pest snails. Anyone know what these are?.

I second that they are snail eggs.  You mentioned pest snails, that's probably what they are.  From your description, I would guess ramshorn snails, but that is a guess.  If you want to control pest snail populations, you could consider assassin snails.  I know from experience that ramshorn snails can overrun a tank.

3rd for snail eggs have a look at assassin snails if you want to get rid of them

Fair enough then, would ramshorn snails eat my plants?
Can't upload a picture sorry, my camera makes them blurry

My ramshorns didn't eat my plants, but they loved climbing them and chomping the algae.  They aren't the most efficient algae eaters though.  Do a little research to properly ID them though, since you can't get a picture up.
