Well I had about 7 neons, 4 added to 3 established, and soon they where starting to die off. I've had them about a week nothing seemed to go wrong, one died after a day I had it but I thought maybe from stress. Then Just last night and this morning 3 of them died off?, I was so very suprized cause they seem so healthy the day before. Another thing I notice is that they all died when the light was off during the night which isnt uncommon but a little strange. Also what's weird too is that all my tank conditions are perfect and this havn't effect my other fish? My tank's conditions are no amonia, low nitrates, and the ph. is about 7.3 "My test kit is close but not 100% accurate, temp ranges about 76-78F, I have the proper amount of oxygen, and not alot of algae. Also my tank is 30 us gallons and another conclusion is maybe somthings bullying them at night but my fish are 5 young Giant Danios about 2-3 inchs and going to be moved in a couple months, 5 dwarf rainbow fish, 3 pearl gouramis, 2 yo-yo loachs , 2 otto cats, 1 male swortail, and 2 young clown loachs. Maybe somthing has been snacking on them but I don't see any bite marks? I've treated the tank for parasites and other conditions if that helps. I do not have a quaritine tank at the moment and I still have 3 neons left. If anyone knows what the problem is please tell me asap!!!

Clown loaches need large tanks of 90 gallons as they grow, plus they do better in larger groups.
The neons what was the ph of the store to your tank and how long did you climatise them for.
Neons don't travel to well, heard alot of memebers losing a few of them in the first few days.
Has any of the neons lost colour in the red stripe area that look like its bleached out.

Yes I know I need to put the clowns in a bigger tank, school, etc, I'm saving money for a 100 gal tank that I should be able to get soon, if not I'll take them in there juv's and I'm having them grow since my friend gave them to me. On the other hand I got my neons at a petsmart and they acted healthy. Its also wired as I notice it really only effects tetras in my tank cause this is the 2nd time this happend when I get 6 and 3 ta 4 die off within a week. I only have 2 now but its weird how they die cause they act normal and within a couple hours I see 1 discolored and stuck dead on my filter And what I mean by other tetras is I had 3 bloodfins and 2 died within a week. I'm a bit scared for my other fish and my prized pearl gouramis I don't know what the heck it is? Also I took them straight home after I got them and they acted fine when I brought them home. Just wondering should I take all my tetras out of my tank asap to be safe?

You need to know what the lfs ph is when buying fish.
Always take a ph reading of the bag water to your tank ph then you know how long to climatise for.
How long do you climatise fish for.

You mean like how long I put the bag in the water before letting the fish go?, cause thats what I usally do and wait about 10 mins releasing them. Usally the ph is pretty close I just forgot to test it again. I check all my stats again this morning(I live in the western u.s.) and they where about the same, ph 7.3, amonia 0, and nitrates very low in the good way. I'm starting to think I'll take my tetras back and maybe swap them for some male guppies or female swords cause I really don't want to go or even try this a 3rd time with neons or bloodfin for that matter. Anyway is there another effect maybe a tetra only related disease maybe? All my other fish are acting normal, I was a little worried this morning as my male pearl gourami was a little pale but has lighten up in the last hour I fed him. Anyway you think I should take'em back and get somthing different or just hold on to what I got?

10 minutes it abit fast to climatise fish I would climatise them for half an hour even if the ph is the same.
You need to raise the temp in the bag gradually till it matches the temp in the tank.

Signs of neon tetra desease are.
Bleached out red stripe, or milky appearance.
Sometimes the blue can look yellowish.
Leaving the shoal and being restless.
Swim oddly.
Black lining around the red stripe.
Lumps on the belly that go to a point,
Bent spine.
Final stages of ntd popeye, and dropsy.

Well they would break up into schools of 3 from time to time and I don't know if this is also normal but at night if the light was off and I turned it back on there blue got purple and there red kinda violet. Also they pecked at eachother which I heard was normal. But on you oppion should I take them back and get somthing different?

No I wouldn't take them back it will stress them more.
I would just hang in there, get back to the board if you notice anymore symtoms.

Well I meant give them to the store that has schools of them. Cause I don't think its proper to just have 2 neons a 1 bloodfin. If I watch them for a month and they seem fine should I give them to my aquatics store?, Cause My Bloodfin is going nuts all alone and he perfectly healthy besides being in a school.
