I checked my water today. I got:
Nitrate: 20
Nitrite: 0
Total Hardness (GH): 150
Total Alkalinity ((KH): 40
pH: 7.2
My tap water was the same except the KH was a tad higher. I use a tap water filter for water changes that makes water near RO water in quality. Are these levels good? I am finding the same amount of nitrates in my tap water. Is that unusual? Interestingly bottled water tested very hard (lots of dissolved solids). It has had pH over 8.0.
