My Tiger Barb Died

hi my beautifull tiger barb died im really sad ,he was a great baby full of fun, he was fine yesterday but dead today
not sure why water stats all ok all other fishes ok he seemed all red round his mouth not bleeding just really red
anybody know why ?

p.h 7.5
ammonia 0.1
nitrite 0.1
nitrate 10 i think
did the test last week cant read my writting the paper got wet

Did he swim with his head down at all? Barbs in particular do this when they arent in great water conditions, Nitrite in particular. Yours doesnt seem too high but you never know.

i didnt notice one minute he was fine then next day he wasnt was just really red round his mouth

Seems odd to me, sometimes fish just die without rhyme or reason. I have had 2 or 3 dwarf gouramis that have died for no apparent reason... They were fine one day and the next they were gone.
