Well she started giving birth, but had 5 eggs and 3 dead babies. She still has tons in her tummy. Also I noticed her body is mishapen. From the top, her spine does an 'S' curve. I havn't moved her except that one time when I put her in the 10 gal a week and half ago. I used a cup and not a net, since I knew it would effect her. The temp is 76-78F and no ammonia. She has little light so that it will not stress her. Her last batch as many already know was Dec 28.
So why is she giving birth to eggs and dead babies?

i found my fish 'aborted' or gave birth to eggs/dead babies when they were either stressed or water quality was bad.

Bent spine can mean old age, vitamin defiency, internal parasites, fish tb.
Is it possible to issolate her.
Do any of your fish look skinny, producing long stringy white poo or clear mucas poo.
What do you feed your fish.

I isolated her now. I feed my fish the Tetra Color Tropical flakes and Top Fins Small Freeze Dried Medley (Daphinia, Mysis Shrimp, and bloodworms). Every so often, once a month, I feed them a very small amount of live brine shrimp. None of my other fish are skinny or have that kinda poo. All my other fish seem very healthy and acting normal. Their colors are bright and the Danios do their normal breeding ritual.
I think she is kinda old, since she is in week 5 of the pregnancy and just birthing eggsacks with the babies still in it and eggs. Also just the way she looks, she doesn't want to do very much anymore and is having a hard time breathing.

Bless her sounds like her times up.
Keep her seperated don't want fish pecking on her dead body thats how desease spreads.
The bent spine could be old age.
Also I stopped feeding freeze drieds foods as it can lead to swim bladder problems.

Yea its hard to see her go although just having her for 2 months..=( Yea you can see she still has babies in her (it's been a full 24 hours since she started birthing). Also the spine curves down from the side and from top you can see the S shape. I have never had a fish die like this before. To me it's a new experiance. Thanks for the help though! =)

I will stop feeding the freeze dried. Probably stick with the flakes and live brine. Just started using freeze dried a couple weeks ago..so hope no harm done to the others.

Livebearers can live over 2 years so make sure she is old as a bent spine can mean others things.
If you do feed the freeze dried foods I wouldn't feed them more than one a week.
Frozen foods are better. Daphnia good as it helps the fish digest its food.
You can buy multi packs from the lfs with 4 different types of food.

She passed away sometime last night :( :rip:

Well I have 6 little babies from her last batch growing strong and healthy. One even looks just like Delta. Going to end up keeping her. The Daddy I am giving to a friend who has a few females and wants a male, so I am sure he will fit right in place.

Bless Her.

Not sure what a delta is. Ask in the livebearers section of the forum.
