I am always trying to find ways to make some extra cash from time to time (mainly to fill voids in my lack of time consumption lol) so I decided to make some ragdolls.

I have 2 lines started, one that is people and one that is animals.

Here are the dolls I have made so far in the people line (called LittleDeadDolls):

Clivia (fairy)

and here are the dolls I have made so far in the animal line (called Care-Free Critters):

I am currently working on a Rockabilly style girl, a cocker spaniel, and a boxer.

If anyone would like one of these that are already made, or you would like one made in a certain style..let me know (I know a shameless plug on my part :*) ) They are $20 each, plus s/h (which because of their size (15 inches tall) usually runs close to $10 for priority mail and that includes a confirmation)).

I can personalize the dolls to match your extact pet for an extra $10. I have to have front/rear/Rside/Lside pictures though. :fun:

:D Hope you like them.

They are sooo cool!!

I might have to be really sad and get one to match me and one each for the cats...... Do you do fish?????? Hmmm, that's a thought. How about a Krib?

When I get some money I will PM you with requirements!

Sarah

Very cool and well done ! Nightshade and Amaryllis are a bit scary though

lol I thought about fish actually. I would have to fiddle around with patterns and work it out, and it'd prolly end up looking like a beanie baby, unless you wanted it to look like Charlie the Tuna and be standing up-right lol.

Don't feel bad....after I make several more to sell...I'm making myself a red dobie, like my 2 I have..and for my son's B'day I'm making him one that looks like him, in his team baseball uniform :D.

LOL they're suposed to be a little scarey....they're Goth ;)

Thanks,

There is a reason for that actually. (good eye noticing that)

When I first started the dolls, I was only making people...and since they look like little voo-doo dolls I decided to go with something that would have a slight "sinister" feel to go along with the voo-doo doll vibe. So I chose to name them after poisonous flowers lol. :D

This is my newest addition.....her name is Lily the Poodle

I'm about 80% complete with the cocker spaniel, then I am going to start a Yellow Lab. I bought some fabulous pale yellow fleece last night that is gonna be perfect  .

They are really GREAT ! So where do you sell them (just out of interest) and how long does it take to make you (more or less)?

i like the lily poodle it looks great
well they all do but what a meen is i like that 1 the best :D

Well I offer them on some of the forums I post on, but the main place I sell them is at the DoggyDaycare/Boarding Kennel my BF and I work at (I groom dogs PT on the weekends there, he is the head Kennel Tech).

The owner is gearing up to open a no-kill shelter that will take in "deathrow" doggies/kitties and give them a last chance at finding homes.. So I charge more for the kennel customers then I would charge, say, you guys..then I donate the extra $10 I charge from each sale to the fund for Sarah's House (the no-kill shelters name).

It depends on what I am making on how long it takes to complete one (and on just how serious I am about getting it done too  ). I started the cocker spaniel at 6pm last night, stopped working on it around 12pm then picked back up working on it at 7am and just got done at 9:30am. So basically it takes about a day to a day and a half (depending on the style of dog. Some dogs that have coat patterns take a little longer then a plain dog) to finish one of the critters.

The people ones take alot longer, because I have to design their clothes, draw up a pattern, cut them out, fit them to the doll, sew them, re-fit them, and then finish them lol....so they take about 3 days from start to finish.

Here is Daphne the Cocker Spaniel

I'll have to agree with you Paige...I like the Poodle best so far as well...it looks rather real IMO, plus if you coudl feel it  it is SO soft. I used Micro fleece for the body and a soft pile micro-rayon flock for the curls...both are super-fab soft. My son has a piece of scrap from the micro fleece and is constantly rubbing it on his face . It's kinda like a super softer, shaggier version of velvet.

lol thanks!!

I just use google to find a front on view of whatever dog I am doing's face.

I adjust the size to be whatver I need to match the body.

I draw a face from the picture I found I liked, then cut it out and use it with the rest of the pattern I have drawn.

Then I cut out the material and sew them together (by hand mind you..using a sewing machine would be cheating lol).

I decided to do a Dalmatian last night instead of a German Shepherd..I'll do it next lol.
