I saw a tank in a store recently that had so many plants , I wondered is it an aquarium, I'm very much a beginner, but I came into fish keeping to watch fish swimming with a minimalistic attitude, where less is better, but I know this is not for everyone in the hobby.
Happy fish keeping.
I also have to stick up for Diversa whom I purchased this tank I really like it and the stand is also well made, and all at at very decent price, also there was none of the dumping your purchase on a kerb side like others, the young guy who delivered with the help of a two wheel trolley put the tank and cabinet up two flights of stairs for me,he refused my help and did it by himself, great service.

Sorry I wasn't being rude to members lots of you have been a great help to me, and I think it's a great forum, I just thought 50 views and one answer, was not great, I don't mind helpful criticism, I'd rather have that as nothing.

I do like your minimalistic approach and choice of fish but, I wouldn't be to upset about the lack of response.

I came from several forums with a lot more members/participants and was used to more responses. Look at the numbers here and draw your own conclusions.

Personally, I like a bit more background and ground cover plants but believe fish should have more room to swim than being in a jungle.

The main thing is that you like it. That is all that really matters.

Thanks for your post...

I had to read it 48 times before replying 😆

I Like that too... But... I still would put a big bully in there to tighten ranks and create some action.

A stack of dense woodwork filled with plants in a corner to create hiding spots and a bunch of cories to populate the bottom.

Rasboras live in acidic black water with dense vegetation and lots of decaying plant matter.

Thanks, I think I maybe have too many Harlequins my last visit to the shop , I only wanted two but it was cheaper to buy 5 so I did, I'm holding out for 6 pygmy corys they may be coming, if not I will go to Carlisle to Maidenhead Aquatics as they have them.

Oooh I love pygmy cories! Such cute little dudes, sadly I don't have a big enough tank for them any more. They do like a bit more leafy cover going on as they like resting on the leaves, but you could always add some plants in one area and still leave lots of swim room.

I have two decent Limnophila Sessili Flora plants at each side of the tank, and a row of Vallisneria along the back, plenty of leaves for 6 Pygmi Corys
