MY CARDINAL TETRA IS DYING. IT IS LYING SIDEWAYS I SCOOPED IT TO A BIG BOWL WITH AQUA PLUS IN IT I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO HELP NOW

What is your water stats? Try posting in Emergencies there are some great people over there who really know their stuff.

As far as i can recall the tank is uncycled and you have no test kit....
You'll struggle to find anything out.
Were there any symptoms leading up to this, odd behaviours?

i only have a temperature stick...ummm well it was kind of odd, its the smallest fish, i boughit last night it was being a loner than today i bought more fish added them in(other tetras and 1 red shark guy) than my tetra was lying on the rocks sideways it looked sick i transfered in a bowl with water and now its lying in it sideways

God... its a hard one... to be perfectly honest i think it may die.
How long has the tank been set up for?
I gathered from your post i replied this morning (although never received an answer) that the tank is quite new and you haven't heard of tank cycling?
Have you any medications to hand?
Make sure the waters surface is disturbed, use your hand if need be, the fish will probably be struggling for oxygen, are the gills moving at all?
Poisoned IMHO

What i suggest you do is go to your LFS, the next chance you can and buy a liquid test kit. This test kit will test for ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite, which are important to the "cycling" of the tank. You could also ask your LFS if you could have some of their gravel or mature filter media to help your tank start cycling.
Depending on where you are located there may be someone who is near who can give you mature filter media. Click Here!!!

Next I suggest you do water changes everyother day of about 20% to 30%

In regards to your Cardinal, I believe he is going to die. I don't believe there is much you can do for him. He may have Neon Tetra Disease. Also check this link HERE!!

Best of luck!

Local Fish Shop

I would see if the LFS would take the fish back and then read up on cycling (the tank not the outdoor activity) get your tank cycled then introduce fish.

Your fish are most likely dying because their waste products are building up in the water. "Cycling" is the process of building up a biological filter (i.e. a bacterial colony) that will break down the fishes waste products into less toxic chemicals. Unfortunately Cardinals are not especially hardy fish and will not do well in a tank that has not finished cycling.

Colourloss is associated with too much to be certain....
Could be mucal hyperproduction due to the uncycled tank, neon tetra disease as mentioned by *fishkies*, almost anything. Although most likely ammonia or nitrite poisoning.
The best thing you can do (if not contemplating euthanasia) is keep it where it is, nice quiet and dark so it can stay calm BUT you need something that will keep the waters surface moving. With illness and weakness your fish will be struggling for oxygen, without surface movement there'll be a greater risk of oxygen lack killing your fish before you get a chance to buy a med tomorrow.
If it makes it through the night....
Any ideas on quick and easy breeding traps guys?

I was told to use a collander or a seive and keep it at the top of the tank when I had a sick fish once, unfortunately the poor bugger wasn't long for this world before I could try it.
