In 24/7 mode, the intensity ramps up from a reddish dawn, bight white midday, then ramps down to a reddish/blueish dusk - the highest intensity is from about noon until 3pm. So it seems like a long period, but it's really not. it's actually quite surreal and nature like.

The full 24 hour cycle tries to mimic a day night cycle with "moonlight" at night. He turns it off for 8 hours to create total darkness, and I would guess full daylight is no more than 8-9 hours with the rest of the cycle being sunrise, sunset, dawn, dusk etc. Very nice system but a bit out of my budget

It's way cool, but you're right @seangee, at about $148.00 US it's pricey to say the least. I'm glad that the fix was $30 plus $5 shipping.
