I was looking through some of my photo albums today and ran across some pictures of my Dalmation, Triton. I had him for nearly 12 years before he had to be put to sleep due to a cancerous tumor on his jaw only a few months ago. He was the best dog I have ever had the pleasure of owning and probably will ever own. Even to his last days he acted like a little puppy, always bouncing around, howling, chasing afer balls, and cuddling up to sleep with me at night. He never left my side, so these pics were hard to get.

I enjoyed finding these pictures and being able to look through them again, and so I've decided to share them with all of you so you can enjoy them too. ;)

Sorry they aren't the best of quality...as my scanner isn't working, so I had to take pictures of my pictures with my digital camera. :/

A close up of his sweet little face.

He is so sweet! Thank you for putting those pictures up for us. I'm sorry for your loss :( How great that you got to have such a nice dog for 12  years!

Thanks Sorrell. It's been hard without him, but I'm getting used to it. It just feels so wierd not to have him right by my side anymore.

He had a pretty hard life before I got him. The people that owned him first also had like 6 other dogs, more cats than I can count, and various other creatures scattered throughout their house...and they mistreated all of them. The dogs were treated the worst and Triton had unfortunately been beaten badly for the first year of his life. When I first saw him, I instantly fell in love and knew I had to have him. Turned out, his owners were looking to get rid of him too, so I ended up being able to buy him for $50...not bad for a purebred Dalmation. ;) It tood him a while to get used to me and to realize that I wasn't going to hit him every time he looked at me or came into the room, but once he did he never left me alone. I feel so lucky to have been able to have him for as long as I did. He was one of my best friends and I will always remember him.

:-( :-( :-( :-(

Oh my goodness!! I have a soft spot for dalmations and he is just a sweetie pie! I'm very sorry that he was put to rest I know how it feels to lose an animal that you love! Maybe you could get a little Dalmation puppy someday in his memory!!!!!

Thanks for the comments silver. ;) I was never really fond of Dalmatians, until I had one...then I instantly feel in love with them. I would love to get a Dalmatian puppy at some point, since I aquired Triton after he was a year old, but that will have to wait. Apartment life is no place for a Dalmatian.
