My Demasoni Won't Eat...

As the title says really, It's been almost a week (Carn't remember the exact day) since he's ate

He's not being bullyied, that I can see. And has no damage to him what-so-ever.

When I feed, he just won't come to the surface, and stays in the rockwork

Can anyone help me?

Demasoni love to stay at the bottom of the tank - get some sinking pellets or similar and see if you can get some to drop near him. They can be fussy eaters but 5 days is a long time without feeding - some spirulina enruched brine shrimp should be too tempting for him and therefore worth a try.

I've tried sinking algae wafers in front of him, and they usally eat some of the large sinking catfish pellets.

I'll go defrost some brine shrimp now, I'll reply in about 15 minutes

Well, that was easy

He's eating it, but still won't stray far from his "home"

I had to target it towards him, but that won't be a problem


It's still a mystery how he was never skinny, and some days even rounded

Do you think he was eating the algae?

Could well be he was eating the algae - Demasoni tend to hug the bottom much more than any other Mbuna species and as a result of this they do pick food up from the substrate and rocks etc, including algae.
