right guys, i`m after bying on line ,a moon light,i already have the rear lid of my rio set up ready to attach a tube, but thats it,so i wondered if any of you guys know where i can buy a light ,complete with adapter, ready to plug in and use, :)

Hi i have a Rio 125 and have just installed moonlights in it. Click the the link on my signature, it will take you to my planted journal. Near the end there are pics of what you will need and how to install. I got cold cathodes off ebay for about a fiver and a Ac/Dc transformer for about £4 off ebay with variable voltages. This ill allow you to choose the brightness of the bulbs. If you are handy with electrics it will be easy for you to wire the transformer and cathodes up.

Fosters and Smith used to have the bulbs depending on the size of your fixture. I can't seem to find them anymore but they work great. I'll see if another site has them.

Well if you are pretty handy at DIY project and have some old spare aquarium parts around you can make one fairly cheap. Grab an old ballast, purchase an acinic bulb, point it to the celling and place a reflactor where the bulb is pointing so that the light gently radiated into the tank. It is a very cheap-o setup but it works.
