monster gouramis terrorizing tall buildings!

wow-i went to a lfs today and saw the biggest gouramis i have ever seen! they were at least 6 or 7 inches if not more! i had no idea they could get that big! there was also a 1 1/2 foot pleco in with them. they could all barely fit in the tank. there was also a huge oscar in with them too...
i wanted the pleco-too bad id have nowhere to put him. he was $50 anyways.

While the giant gourami is raised primarily as a food fish, it's a different story with the plecos. Each year millions of them are sold to hobbyists, and most of them go to owners who have no idea they will grow anywhere near this size.
