Mollys And A Figure 8 Puffer In A Brackish Tank

The LFS had 2 tanks with them together in a brackish setup. Each tank had several mollys with one figure 8 puffer... they looked so gorgeous together. What do you think? Would this kind of setup be okay in the long run? I do want to get my mollys in a brackish setup soon and I will be setting up another tank for them.
 
No, puffers should be in a species only tank. Their behavior in an LFS is not the same behavior they will have once they are settled in a home aquarium. They are very territorial and aggressive and will shred the fins of fish much larger than themselves. Occasionally one will be fairly passive but that's the exception to the rule.
 
Puffers will attack each other as well, need a lot of decorations so they can "divide" the terroritory. :)
 
They are wonderfully facinating and lots of fun, but they require special care and considerations. They are my passion.
