Hi, I have a newly cycled 28 gallon tank.

I've just got home from work to find 2 dead mollys, One of them was pregnant and must have had the babies whilst I was at work.

Ive got 14 fry in my fry net. Which seem fine.

There was only 3 mollys and a goldfish in my tank. I noticed the water was cloudy this morning but not as cloudy as it is now. The remaining molly seems fine and so does the goldfish.

Just tested:

PH: 7.5
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 10 (ish)

Can't test anything else as I dont have any testing dips left!

Any ideas? ....

Forgot to add, The mother of the fry was only got from the LFS 4 days ago, It could have just been all the stress from entering my tank then giving birth, But what about the cloudy water and the other female!

I didn't edit my origional post incase someone who could help had already read my post, And then wouldn't see my edit as I thought that it was important information. What has my post count got to do with it, Why would I want to higher it anyway?

Well my first piece of advice would be to get a liquid test kit. They are far more accurate, and you get more tests from a liquid kit than with strips.

How new is the goldfish? Goldfish are by far one of the biggest ammonia producing fish you can put in an aquarium, and for multiple reasons really shouldn't be kept in a tropical tank.

How was the tank cycled?

*Edit* Also...what kind of "cloudy" is the water? Take a bit of water and put it in a clear glass to hold up to the light. Is it milky, tinted, or have particles floating in it?

Goldfish is a fan tail, He's around 8 months old (Since I got him from the LFS)

Cycled with ammonia.

I can't leave my house untill tomorrow.. So I can't get a testing kit untill after work tomorrow :S

I've been doing 25% change weekly during the cycle. I changed 25% the same day I put the fish into the tank.

I'm really not sure what to do, The other fish still seem fine, But the water is getting cloudier by the hour :S

I should add that I have a Fluval 2 filter. Its only suitable for up to 90 litres. My tank is 130 litres. I have bought a filter suitable for up to 300 litre tanks, It hasn't arrived yet. However I can't see this being the problem since the tank is only just cycled.
