MLB 2026

I'm not counting on the Rockies to do much this year. Last season was their worst ever and the games I did see were painful to watch. I usually don't see many games anyway since I like to be outside when it's nice out and I refuse to watch anything on my tiny phone screen.
We didn't have a team while I was growing up so I've always been a Red Sox fan. Yankees too. I'd be happy to see either take the series.

I'm a Montreal Expos fan, but that's pretty futile...

So I follow both the Blue Jays and the Red Sox. Sports are entertainment, so I go with whichever entertains me more. I love the game, but since players come and go, so do teams. I'd like to see the Jays win it all this season, just because of who it would annoy. But I don't see it happening.

I'm through and through a Cleveland fan. I hate the Res Sox and Yankees but that is part of the job of being a Cleveland fan going back to the 1960s when all three were in the same division.

Sports tribal loyalties are big stuff! I find it really hard to be a serious Blue Jays fan because they're from Toronto. They're the only team in Canada, and some of their players are really interesting. Vlad Guerrero Jr was born in Montreal. So I have to be supportive. But it's with a wince, everytime.

I mean, there were a baseball apocalypse and the only team left in the USA was the Yankees, what would you do?

So I reserve my dislike of Toronto franchises for hockey, and I watch the Blue Jays. I was given a hat, but I may choose death over wearing it, if it comes to that. I was going to wear it to paint a ceiling, but I couldn't even do that. I knew it could never fit.

Cleveland is doing something with Steven Kwan, that I don't understand, in playing him in center field instead of left, his norm. I don't get why you would move someone that has been in the league 4 years and has 4 gold gloves in left field. It isn't like they are desperate for a center fielder as they actually have a surplus of outfielders. :dunno:

Oh, to add to my confusion as to Kwan...

Cleveland has an outfielder named Chase DeLauter. This guy is fast to cover ground and hits a ton. Today is the second preseason game I'm watching and this kid can definitely hit. Yesterday he had 2 doubles and a run scored. In the first 3 innings of today's game he has another double and a 2-run homer. Problem is that he gets injured. Mayhaps that is why they are playing Kwan in center. Sort of a just in case thing. Don't actually know if Chase DeLauter will make it to opening day but Cleveland DOES need more punch in their batting lineup.

If Chase DeLauter does make the team I could easily see the top of the order being Kwan, Not yet sure, Jose Ramirez and Chase DeLauter at cleanup.

Sigh, sorry to make so many posts in a row but just thought that I'd mention something in case you have a favorite team but are no longer in the area to get local TV coverage.

I pay $99.99/year to have all Cleveland games streamed. Sounds expensive but breaks down to just $0.62 per game.
