Haven't see one of my pepper cories for a couple of days. Looked everywhere - in cave, looked through substrate, in filter material, in pump in moss on tube... everywhere. It just ain't there! Nothing in the tank is capable of eating a cory! Where is it???

Maybe... it got buried in substrate during water change, jumped out during water change, has been hypnotised by Paul McKenna but I just can't find it.

Nitrite is at 0.1 mg/L but I think that I may have been overfeeding a bit.

Anyone come across this behaviour before?

Fish just dissipate sometimes, its happened to one zebra and one neon...Just gone. But that is a big fish to loose

he most likely died and the shrimp and other fish took care of the rest. :(
cheers

A few weeks ago I had a 5 inch clown loach do the same. Went completely missing. Haven't seen it since, checked everywhere.
I have no inverts in the tank to clear up a body. No other sizable fish apart from one Angel and other clown loaches.

It still does my head in wondering where it went.

I have a clown loach who vanished for days at a time when i got him a new bud, seriously stressed me out and kept searching for him expecting to find a dead body then he would appear. Even my 4 year old would run down shouting 'the clowny is back'! He is now sociable again but only when we lost the new loach (death - reasons unknown)! Fish psychologist anyone?

It's a well known fact that all clown loaches are completely nuts !

Thats so true!! So love him though but should be rehoming due to bad advice but wondering why i havent, is it because I am hoping for a tank big enough for him and a few pals?? I think so!!

i visited at my friends place,
Guess what i see there an aquarium!!!
and a fish stuck between the wall beside the aquarium and glass of aquarium,
fish was compleately decomposed, may be their from long time, and they even did'nt observed, or get smell of it!! !

may be that one suicided, jumping and stucking out side the tank!!
