I replanted my tank last weekend, and i seem to have put the tank into a mini cycle. Its got sand as substrate and so when i rustled up all the sand i obviousy brought up aload of poo and wastes.
Anyway, I need an idea of how long on average a mini cycle takes. My LFS has ordered snail for me this week and shrimp for the tank, and they comin to the store 2mrw, but obviously i dont wanna add them to the tank until the cycle is finished
also the rule about not adding anymore than 5 fish at a time to a tank, would that apply to snails as well. cos i have a betta tank that i had ordered 2 of the snails for, and the other 4 were for my big tank, so would addin the 4 snails to the betta tank put that through a cycle
