I was thinking about starting a micro tank. I have a 35 hex sitting in the garage I can use. Then I saw a 33 long which looked really cool. I really want to get bumblebee gobies. I was thinking Galaxy rasboras. Maybe just well planted with neons and cardinals and pygmy cory cats. Any suggestions?

Yeah tetras and neons will like it. A group of small fish is pretty good.

The Contrast Between Galaxy Rasboras and BumbleBee Gobies would look really nice.
There are Fresh Water Bumblebee Gobies. They way to tell them apart is that FW have thick black stripes that are not broken and bitty. Broken/Bitty are Brackish water.
I have kept them in the past and they are really full of character for such a tiny fish.
Plus when they are courting the males' yellow stripes turn bright orange.

I can give a shout out for the threadfin rainbows Iriatherina Werneri. Stunning little fish and when the males display to each other it's truly lovely :D They do best in groups of 6 plus with one male to two females ratio. They do, however, like well planted tanks to feel secure with a nice open area for swimming about in also. 20 Gallons is also the recommended tank size for a small modest shoal.

I actually think that a 33gallon or 35gallon tank is a nano isn't it?
