I am currently treating my main tank with Interpet No.9 Anti Internal Bacteria. I have taken my x 3 amano shrimp out and put them in a quarantine tank while treating the main tank as the meds would obvioulsy kill them.

Once the treatment in my main tank is complete and I put the carbon filters in to remove the meds how long is this likely to take and should I then remove the carbon filters and dispose? Will I need to run more than one change of carbon filters to remove all before I can safely put the shrimp back into the main tank?

You should add new filters and run overnight to remove the meds from the water, then discard the insert you used to take out the medicine.

Thank you for your answer!

With regards to my water change which I usually do once a week - how soon should I do one? I put the second dose of meds in today and that was the final dose.

Water change after the med course.
Black carbon only works for up to 2 to 6 days so after that you are best of slinging it in the bin.
I wouldn't add the strimps back till at least two days after you have added the carbon.

Good luck.
