medication killed my plants

I used the Jungle fizz tabs of the right amount to treat for fungus. It's been about 3 weeks, I did water changes and everything. All the fish seem to be better, but it killed all my live plants!!! It says on the package it is safe for all aquarium fish and plants! Any one know why?
PS I think the last treatment(you do 2 in a row for heavily infested fungus) was in for more than a week, but the package said nothing about water changes after the 2nd treatment.
I had just done the normal water change after the plants kind of all died.

i dont know but my guess is if you put a medication in the water to kill something chances are it's not too safe for other living organisms. Who knows though. some medications contain a large amount of heavy metals like copper tha can be harmful to fish and plants.
