my penguin 100 bio-wheel power filter seems to only have room for a rite-size A cartridge. however, lately i've been experiencing a problem with declining pH (again) and want to put some crushed coral in the filter.

does anyone know what i should place the coral in so it'll fit in the filter box?

Perhaps if you have an expired rite-size you can open it and put the coral in. How large is your tank? Perhaps you could build a second filter with the coral in it.

thanks for the ideas, but i managed to fit a 3" wide nylon filter bag between the cartridge and bio-wheel after folding it in half vertically.
