Mangroves

A couple of people have sugested Mangroves like the idea of that have had a quick sniff around the internet found loads of stuff on them but nothing that really
shouts READ ME yet.
Before I spend hours reading up on them does any one know if they are available in the uk?
Has any one had any experiance keeping them? Good or Bad?

They are available in the UK, i have seen them in branches of Maidenhead aquatics and on ebay.

The only trouble i found with them is that they require masses of light, far more than standard aquarium or room lighting provides, really to get any decent growth you need to use a ceiling suspended metal halide or similar lamp designed for growing plants.

I do have some metal halides up in the loft left over from my reef but think i will stick with a nitratereactor to keep the nitrates down this is all starting to get to complicated and costly.
