Hi

Ive noticed that one of my male guppies is losing colour from his tail, thought is may be due to not varying his diet enough.

The other males have do not have the same problem.

Last night i noticed that he is now missing some of his tail. There are no fin nippers in my tank.

Please help.

thanks

Hi Chris, I doubt the diet is to blame if the other guppies are fine, is it just other male guppies he is in a tank with? how many in total and how big is the tank? the other males could be having a go at him.

Hi

Its a 103ltr tank.

6 danios, 6 other male guppies, 1 salfin pleco 1 male and 1 female Siamese fighter, about 20 juvinile guppies

There are no fin nippers in my tank.

No finnippers but Siamese fighter are the worst out there.

I would suspect him first.
Is there any redness to the fin?

P.S. have you tested you water quality and if so what the resualt's?

Water changes would be good, do 3-4 10-15% changes in a week and add some melifix this will stop any infections setting in.
