considering the stock i currently have in my 10g (in my sig), should i get more cherry barbs? how many males (if any) and how many females should i get?

i'm going to get rid of the otos before i get more cherry barbs, since i can't put them in the 20g (where there's loads of algae) due to the rosy barbs.

I would get more cherry barbs and have a ratio of 1 male for every 2 females. Why can't you put ottos with rosy barbs?

my one male cherry barb kept chasing the two females nonstop, so i had to give him away.

and i can't put otos with rosy barbs because the rosies attacked the otos as if they were food.

I would go with a total of five cherry barbs in a 10 gallon tank but no more them that. If you keep males and females together you should have a ratio of one male to three females, then the aggression is spread out more.
