London/south London Fish Shops - Angelfish

Hi, I live near Gawqick Airport, does anyone have any views on which aquatic shop in london or this area is best (i assume there are bigger more specific centres in london)? I'm looking to get some (after researching) Angelfish, but my LFS just had a tank of mixed juveniles, and not many at that, labeled Angelfish and i don't trust they would know which types they are. So are there any that are specifically good places to buy Angelfish? or alternatively any breeders around here?

I've heard that Altums get large and Leopoldi are more aggressive. I like the typical looking striped angelfish like in this link, is this a Scolari?

There are some Maidenhead aquatics which within driving distance so will try them once i can get a lift.

prety much all the angels youl see in most lfs are scalare . altums and leopoldis are much more uncommon to find .

give this site a look . just type in what youre after and it will produce a list of all registered shops carrying that stock

The angelfish in the photo is not a Scalare, its an Altum. Just about every shop in London doesn't stock Leopoldi Angels. I think the fish you are looking for it the 'Zebra' Angelfish. They are Scalare Angels with similar patterns to an Altum. Though they tend to have more black stripes than Altums. I have 2 Zebra Angels. It took quite a long time to find the perfect pair though as most shops have Zebra angels with slight spots , or with bad colouration, or with uneven stripes.Wholesale tropicals have lots of different angelfish colour varieties so check them out. #
