Lighting a mini tank

Hey guys......When I'm at school Im not allowed to keep fish in my bedsit so i figured that I could keep plants instead. I have been looking at Takashi Amano's book 2 and looking at his miniture aquariums and I would love to do a setup like that!

The problem is I can't think what light I would use on a tank that small!??

Any suggestions

Use one of the compact florescent bulbs meant to fit into an incadescent socket.

My hardware store sell 18W 6400K light aswell much more light for the same price..
Also $13.99 is a bit much Bought mine for $1.20
