Light Me Up Baby

I have 2x 38 watt T5 power compacts running on my 30g tank at present.
I am using Interpet Daylight plus.
These are very powerful lights, but I think they drown out the colors of my fish.
I know that Marine keepers use the blue bulbs to help fish "glow"... Can these be used on Tropical tanks?
I have see an Interpet bulb one side white bulb, one side blue.. Would this help bring the colors of my fish out, or are there better bulbs available?

i use blue lights on my cichlid tanks but obviously im not growing plants in a cichlid tank and blue with a plant groth tube look dodgy as hell

it doesnt really help to bring out colours in tropicals to be honest... however i just like having blue light coz it hink it makes tank look sexy
