Does the lead that comes on plants affect your water in any way if left in there too long? My plants have just fell out and left the lead on the gravel ?

I sure hope they are not giving you lead weights....... aquarium weights do not effect plants IME.

Yes this plant had lead weight on it,the first batch had pot or ceramic circular weights.
Can it harm the water then ?

Depends on size of aquarium compared to the weights, small amounts of lead should be fine but i personally like to remove weights from my plants to allow unrestricted growth if possible. You should be fine.

Ok cheers just took it out and removed the plant as it kept floating to the top after anchoring it three times in said lead.

I did read somewhere it is supposed to be non toxic lead, I didn't know there was such a thing but it appears so.

That's what I was getting at in my first post, I hope it is not just some industrial grade lead or something like that.

I like to take the lead off the plants myself. I noticed long ago that if I didn't, the plants tend to rot where they are in contact with the lead. The plants always seem to do better when you can get a bit of space between the strands.

The lead weights are treated and coated. They arent toxic and do not release lead into the water... they wont cause a problem :)
