I bought a lava rock for my tank about a month ago, about a week ago I started getting debris in my tank, little red specks. I didn't think it was the rock don't know why seeing how I don't feed flakes often just frozen beefheart and brine shrimp, anyways it ended up being the rock it was releasing small particles of the rock. I've had the rock out now for several days and have vacumed my sand very good the past few days, also have cleaned my filters out a few times. Its getting better but does anyone know what I can do to get this out of my tank quicker, or will I just have to give it time. I have a 55 gallon long tank running two filters a Aqua Clear model 70 and a Aqua-Tech Power filter model 30/60, all together pushing 630 GPH. Any suggestions would be apprciated.
