Is it a bad thing to have a lot of different kinds of fish in a tank?

My tank consists of:
2 Angelfish (2" each)
2 Oto Catfish (1" each)
2 Blue Rams (2.5" each)
1 Porthole Catfish (2.5")
1 Green Sailfin Molly (Had more but they fought so I took them back) (2.5")
1 Peacock Eel (5")

Should I get a female Molly to go along with my male Sailfin?

The tank is a 42 gallon hex with a temperature of 76deg. The water levels are perfect.

If you add a female molly you will have many many mollies, be prepared if you choose to follow that route.

if your eel is Macrognathus aculeatus then i think it will be ok in the tank size wise but as you have small fish in there it may well eat them, think stuff like the mollie would be ok but maybe the otos would be in danger.
