Hey all,
Just keeping whoever has been reading updated. I have treated my 55 for the ich outbreak, but it wasnt enough for my smallest kissing gourami. I looked up at my tank and he was just being blown around by the filter current. :-( I am always afraid they arent dead (no idea why) so after examining it for about 10 minutes on a paper towel I put it in a ice cold bucket of water ( i know completely pointless but gives me peace of mind). Like i said, i wouldnt wish whitespot on my worst enemy. Im gonna miss those big pink lips....

Sorry for your loss... Good luck with the treatment.

ik, sometimes, when i have aspecial fish that passes away, i just keep it to myself cause people wouldnt understnad what i am feeling.

Awe so sorry. :rip:

I know how hurt sometimes to try and treat and they just don't make it. I had a cory of mine die today, he got sick over night and there was nothing i could do.

I also had a cockatoo apistogramma die toda also( i think stress from bring mover from another tank).

Krib and Fishkies,
I am sorry for both of your losses as well. At least in some wierd way we all know how it feels. I hate losing corys, they are my favorite. I have never owned a cockatoo krib but I am sure they are great. So for the both of you :rip:
I guess the silver lining is that we all get to go get some new fish soon :drinks: Thanks to everyone for the support, the fish arent looking great so I iwll post tomorrow with an update.

Until next time,
Drew

Well....everyone made it today so I guess I will count my blessings. One of my other kissing gouramis isnt lokking very good, I dont expect it to make it to the morning but I have done all I can do and will hope for the best. I will post an update tomorrow to let anyone who is following know. Thanks for the support.

Sorry to hear of everyones losses :(
I know its great having all kinds of animals/fish but I hate it when they have to leave us. :-(
Its worth having what time you have with them but i wish someone made a medicine so everything could just live forever(happily!) :) but i know thats not practical, and also impossible :(

Hope your little fish friends are in a nice place, enjoying themselves 8)

I am sad to say I was forced to euthanize one of my kissing gouramis this evening  I am down to one now, but I am hoping the last one will pull through. I need one of them to make it so I have some hope left. I hate euthanizing as it makes me feel like I have done something wrong, but it needed to be done as it was better than letting it suffer for a few hours at the bottom of the tank on its side, gasping for air. I will post an update in the morning. Thanks for the continued support.

:rip: so sorry for your loss i lost a swordtail and a platy in one day one from cotton disease and the other i dont know hwat from so srry for ur loos well at least they lived a happy life

Hi, I am also sorry for your loss. I know how you feel.

I grieve for every single fish I lose although I admit it is harder with some fish than others.
I hate it when they are ill and just look at you for help and you try and help but you can't exactly take them out of the tank and cuddle them.

I hope there is an aquarium in the sky.

Sounds like everyone here knows how you feel and I agree that you can't tell everyone you meet or even most friends because they just woudn't understand.
