Kissing Gourami Flat Mates

Im going to be setting up a 50 gallon tank at the others place(oooh, drools at the extra space) and she has said "kissing gouramis"

I know that they are generally peaceful fish, esp if kept in pairs as agressionwill normally then be displayed to others.

so im looking for a few compatible tank mates that I can put in their, im guessing nothing smaller than 4" would be advisable?

I am wanting to put some khuli loaches in, but she doesnt like them and it will probably end up being leopard or zebra loaches as she likes them in my current tank.

But the main point was, anyone with kissing gouramis, can you name your tank mates?

I would say you'd be alright with Catfish, Danio's, Eel's, Some other gourami's and koi!

My Kissing Gourami lives with a Bristlenose and a school of loaches.

Kissers vary some in their temperment, so while one may tolerate some fish, another will not. I think you're generally pretty safe with bottom feeders and Plecos though. I wouldn't recommend keeping them in pairs, unless you had a much larger tank...and even then it'd be iffy, in my opinion.

I did use to have Kissers. Mine where kept with a Betta and some other fish (too long ago for me to remember!)
