That's a great stage with very young Cichlids - when they start to become independent, but they aren't playing complete hierarchy games yet. They're figuring themselves out.

Awesome fish! I had a small group once. Unfortunately I had to give them to a LFS at the start of Covid as I had to move states. I never had the opportunity to raise them to maturity.
Also I think it's safe to say David Attenborough's job is safe.
