Hi people well here is the first of many questions I maybe bothering you with. I just purchased a 55 gallon tank I was wondering if bala sharks can live in it The salesman at a pet store informed me that they can not..But I have heard from somethat they can...I am so confused can they or can't they...HELP
Fish is 35cm long (about 14") when adult. It also really fast swimmer and it usually runs into glasses. So it needs lot of space. Your tank must be at least 2m long (about 79" = ? feet) and over 1000 liters (about 265-220 us-uk gal).
But of course you can keep them. You can also keep goldfish in a bowl. But... When using own common sense and thinking about situation for a time, you probably realize that you cannot keep big fish in too small tank. Some hobbiests have told that even 2m long tank isn't enough for this fish.
