Having realised that I have made a couple of posts on the forum without ever saying hello in here I thought I should come and correct my backwards approach.

Having not had fish since I was little when I shared a tank with my brother (and probably did very little) I have now decided that I have space in my new home to add a tank to the pond that is already outside. The pond outside will need a little thought to see if it will be populated as I have a rather large Heron problem on my door step.

I must admit to being a stalker of the forum for a while as i have been reading posts without ever having signed up. Would like to tank those that have taken time to post 'guides' on the large range of topics in here that I am sure have been found useful by keepers at all levels.

Once again I would like to say hello to all and I look forward to reading more about your tanks, tales, problems and triumphs etc.

Thanks

Garry

Hi Donkey, Herons I do know a bit about! They won't fly into water so fishing line stretched about 6 inches high around the pond will usually work-My parents ahve a pond about 20 yards from a heronry and this has been the only successful method of 'persuading' them to fish elsewhere. Doesn't stop the Kingfishers tho.....
