size in gallons: ~220 gallon (831.6 liters)
temperature: ~75F (24C)
Ph: ~6.5

Here it is:

4 - Bala Shark -- Big Peaceful fish that look cool
8 - Zebra Danios -- I've heard they're hardy, I'd probably use these to cycle the tank
10 - Harlequin Rasboras -- I think they'd look nice compared to the RTS
5 - Silver Hatchetfish -- They look different from all the other fish so that'll be neat
7 - Black Phantom Tetras -- I have a few of these and I love 'em
9 - Neon Tetras -- Pretty lil fish, I just hope they don't get eaten
2 - Thick Lipped Gourami -- They look pretty cool, might replace them with a different gourami
8 - Panda Cories -- I have these, too, they're so cute, might get more
1 - Orange Tipped Pleco -- This guy looks pretty cool, is he aggressive?
1 - Peppermint Pleco -- I LOVE the spots hoping he'll help cleanup the bottom
5 - Ornate Bagrid -- Never heard of these before... I was hoping Pictus Catfish, but I think they get a little too big, right? :(
9 - Angelfish -- Been wanting these forever
6 - Guppies -- They'll add a lot of color and hopefully provide some food for the other fish in the form of fry
5 - Clown Loaches -- Maybe my dream tank will be big enough to accomudate 12 inch ones! That'd be awesome
6 - Kuhli Loaches -- They look really cool. I've heard they hide a lot though...
Totals:
84 fish, 16 species
Are there any major problems here, other than needing a massive tank with floor supports? -_-
Also, what size tank would I need?
Note:: All of these fish can be found in the book "Encyclopedia of Aquarium and Pondfish" by David Alderton
I basically went through and wrote down all of the fish that I liked... except Tiger barbs. I think they'd cause too many problems. :/

That's part of the fun. Designing a fishtank where all kinds of fish can live happily and healthily, while providing the best visual impact. And I imagine a tank that large with so many fish would obviously be the centerpiece to any room.

What size tank would I need for all of that, and would the angelfish eat teh neons?

you need to up the khulis to at least 4, maybe 8. They love partners. I would give mine some if they had more at the LFS.

Angelfish can eat neons, but they may not. that's what proper hiding is for. I'd imagine tons of live plants, and this would be around 150-180 gallons.

Danios - guppy - and tetra are not a good mix either.

Danio and tetra may fin nip the guppy, and as are, danio are far too hyperactive for my taste.

Why not replace the danio with 3 or 5 striped peacock eel, and do a forest of wisteria for them to stay up in so they dont go digging or take up bottomdwelling space.

Actually, I'd rather replace the guppy than the Danio.
Also, when I googled teh eel, sites said they grow up to 18 inches and eat tetras... I don't want all my tiny fish gone! Do you know if they grow fast or slow?

EDIT:: It also said they eat live foods... so they would eat platy babies? That would be cool, I could have a 30 gallon tank just to breed food for the eels. XD

Just an FYI Red tail Sharks can be VERY agressive when they get big. When they are small they are fine but when they get big, its better to keep em with larger fish than themselves. A full grown RTS would probably kill alot of those fish on your list. Ive got a full grown RTS right now in a tank full of Jack Dempsey's and other large agressive cichlids and he is really flourishing!!!!! I used to have him in another tank with other fish ranging from his size to smaller and he was like a homicidal maniac in there.

So... which is it, the one inch fish or the 10 inch fish? :S The one in my book is called "Hyalobagrus ornatus" and grows to 1.5 inches (4cm)
What about Pictus Catfish? How are they temperment and size wise? They look really cool.
I guess I'll choese a different fish than the RTS... *goes to look*

Maybe a few Balas?

Oh, and how fast do RTS grow, in say, 1 month?

RTS grow at a pretty steady rate, ive found that RTS do grow alot faster than rainbow sharks though. Id say that in 1 month you'd have nothing to worry about but after 6 months your RTS could get alot bigger and alot more territorial, despite what you may have read, RTS really should be kept in a tank with either other agressive fish or other fish that are consiterably larger.
Bala sharks get extremly big, up to 12 inches I think but are very peaceful no matter what their size, I dont recall ever haveing ANY agression problems with any bala ever. They can be a little skidish around people but not at all agressive towards other fish.

Ok, I replaced the RTS with 4 Bala Sharks, that'll take up a lot of space, so maybe up the gallonage of the the tank to about....250? Wow, this really is a dream tank

lol dont get me wrong, RTS are GREAT fish, one of the best looking freshwater fish you can buy when they become adults, I love mine, he's one of my fav fish! You could keep him with those other fish as a little guy but when he gets bigger he'd be better off in a tank with various cichlids, large bala sharks, or tinfoil barbs. Just like cichlids, yeah they are pretty agressive as adults but they are also some of the most satisfying fish you are gonna find to look at! The little ones arent too exciting but if you have ever seen a 4-5 inch RTS, what a spectacularl fish!!!!!!! Almost looks like a marine fish:)
