This is just a thought, but one worth considering

how about a specific forum for IDs
then all members could post in there asking what their
fish, shrimp, coral etc is instead of filling up the other boards with them.
I feel this would benifit all members, but it is just an idea.
do with it as you see fit.

Retort question, are all of the "area" experts going to start browsing another forum which might really need their input, but seldom has anything for them?

How about a forum with subforums (FW ST CW and SW) for "what should I put in my tank" questions. Didn't mean to hijack the thread if that's what I did. I like your idea but I think it should be divided into FW CW and SW atleast. That would help people look in there area of expertise.
