My Arowana keeps trying to jump out and has a couple times. he only jumps at night.. I was wondering if there is a reason why. His tank mates are a pleco, big firemouth cichlid, pictus, and 4 silver dollars. In the day he seems calm and none of the other fish bother him.... well they try to avoid him the best they can. I was thinking a night maybe the pictus spooks him? does this seem logical to you? My pictus acts like he has A.D.D. or maybe he is just a freak out. Im going to repalce the top with some thick plexi glass, because he some times hits the top so hard he kocks it off.
I know he needs a bigger tank but I dont have the money or room for one in my apartment he currently lives in a 90gal and is about 24" maybe a little more long. When I got him he was only like 2 1/2" long and has lived in the 90gallon his whole life.
