I feed her fish their dinner, but what I didnt see was the sister had already feed them. SO they got two cubes of frozen bloodworms real fast....and my god but I think they're intestines just popped out of their anuses. Is there anything I can do, will this kill them? please help me! Yikes... I can't really see it properly from those photos but it does look like an intestinal prolapse.

I have got absolutely no idea why that might have happened to four apparently healthy angelfish at once but I honestly don't believe that overfeeding could have done it, certainly not getting double rations, once, for one day. If it is an intestinal prolapse, it's not your fault. It just happens sometimes but to happen to four fish at once is very strange. Has your camera got a flash? I really can't see well enough on those photos to know what it is but on the second photo it does look a lot like a prolapse.

Sometimes they will spontaneously go back in, it depends on how much has come out. If it's protruding more than a few millimetres the prognosis is pretty bad. Where's Sakura and when will she get back? (Please tell me she's not in hospital again, that scared us the last time!)

She took a trip out to japan, visiting friends.

The other three angels all seem to have there organs receding, but the little guy is still bad. Its out far enough that the intestine(?) is spiraling. He spent the night in a breeding net, hopefully that will give him the best chance.

I will try again with the flash.

I did call Sakura and confess, she...um....expressed herself quite loudly.
She also mentioned that that is why she doesnt just throw in the cubes whole and frozen.

Sakura said to suggest the pea? Would that work here, or just make things worse?

Ive been checking on the little guy every few minutes, and I *hope* I have some good news.

He seems to still be functioning properly. He is expelling the extra food, while his intestine are still prolapsed. Im thinking this is a good thing? I did end up feeding the pea, so hoping it does the job.

If it makes any difference, the feces is very very dark, which is different then all the other fish in the tank.
