My mom decided to go out and set up her own tank last night. I want to make sure what she put together is ok to be put together. I'm a bit of a betta guru but dont know a whole bunch about most other fishies

So this is the set up:

20 gallon tall
1x sunburst mickey mouse platy female
1x red brick swordtail female
2x highfin dalmation mollies both male
3x fancy guppies all male
2x green corydoras
2x peppered corydoras
2x gold mystery snails

The tank looks good and should be fine. Some may argue that it is overstocked but with proper filtration and a good maintenance schedule, there shouldn't be any problems...except, is the tank cycled? From looking at the date you joined and the number of posts you have, I'm sure you know the importance of cycling and hopefully, you have given her some media from one of your tanks to clone the tank. Obviously, if the tank isn't cycled or doesn't have seed material, she will have to keep an extremely close eye on the ammonia and nitrite levels.

I gave her filter media from my 29 gallon which is cycled and has been running for a year and the tank was up with the filter running for about 2 weeks before we put anything more then the snails in it, but I am keeping a close eye on the levels.
