Is This Fin Rot?

Hi everyone,

On Sunday i noticed that my betta's tail wasn't looking normal. The end of it turned a translucent-blackish color. I started treating with bettafix this morning. I just want to make sure that i'm treating him with the right medication. Here are some pictures of his tail:

it looks like he has some blue edging to his fin. and the "clearish" bits will turn red? im guessing new growth. you can see new growth on his anal fin.
does his tail look to be shrinking or any signs of "stuff" comming off of it. looks like he has nice wate rand a good meal or two and is growing his fins.

it doesn't seem like his tail is shrinking or has stuff coming off of it.

Phew, i'm so glad he's okay. I hope i didn't do more harm treating him for something he doesn't have.

betta fix is natural and would do no harm, and is actually good for helping their fins regrow after injury. he is a pretty fella. sounds fine to me! just keep and eye out if you are still worried.
