is my black phantom tetra pregnant? she looks fatter than all my other tetras. if she is, when do i put her in the breeding trap? here is a picture, sorry it isnt any clearer, my camera isnt that good

She isn't a livebearer so there is no point in her being put in a breeding trap. She is an egg laying fish.

I know but what if the other fish eat her eggs? xx

If she is full of eggs best bet is to make sure there's lots of plants (real or artificial) to give cover so that some of the eggs might not be found and eaten.

Sorry I couldn't answer you. I know nothing really about egglayers.

There's a really helpful sticky at the top of this forum that details the best method for breeding eglayers.

I'm afraid breeding traps don't work for egg layers; you really need to either let them spawn in the tank and accept that the eggs/fry will get eaten, or set up a dedicated spawning tank.
