Is It A Curse?

...firstly my 2 danios that were cycling my tank (now i know it was wrong) bred and i had danio fry, that died eventually after about 3 days...then my mums 2 platys went in after the danios were removed as they were not happy in my mums tank,, after i came back off holiday i found two orange babys about 1cm long. one got eaten but i still have the other PLATY BABY!! (he is going strong at half n inch now!!)

now my ghost shrimp are full of eggs!!!!!!!!!!! i checked and researched and apperently there little green eggs on the belly of the shrimp (on the fans they have)

...what do you know one of my ghost shrimp is as fat as hell and full of green eggs!!

WHEN WILL IT END!!! i dont mind really as they must be happy to breed!

anyone else suffered with this..watever you put in your tank has babys!

Well, shrimp have eggs all the time, you won't get any babies survivng.

really?? what do they not get ferstalised? and i found a shrimp exoskeleton..do they shed there skin like snakes??

No, but their fry are larvael, get eaten, sucked in by filters, starve.... etc. And yeah, they do shed

no ill leave nature to take its course with the baby ghost shrimp!

You may get some of the shrimp fry to survive, I did with my red clawed, started out with 2 now up to a minimum of 23, and I've got quite a few loaches (clowns, yoyo, pocka-a-dot) in the tank.

We currently have 15 platy fry (about 1 month old) and a couple of new fry. We are taking the fry to the LFS next week end - hopefully they will end up in good homes. Of course, if anyone in Kingston-upon-Thames really wants some platies....

NOT MORE BABIES! my female platy has given birth again, i did have guppies but i gave them to my mum as they were nasty to all the fish! so at the mo i have 1 honey gourami, 2 platys, 3 pygmy corys and 2 shrimp!

i found loads dead DEEP DEEP in the gravel, do the go in the gravel for safety??

one swam up to top and his dad ate him! it was a horrible sight...i squished one trieng to net it but have managed to rescue to and they are in a fry net...my brother wants these 2 so im growing them whilst his tank finishes of cycling! do they ever stop breeding!!! i dont mind really

how many approx does the female give birth to?
